The first Myrtle Beach event will this Sunday, February 16th. We will be meeting in the parking lot of Ollie’s Bargain Outlet in Carolina Forest, 2100 Oakheart Road, Myrtle Beach 29579 at 11:30. We will socialize a little and at noon head into the heart of Myrtle Beach and “Cruise the Strip” to 2nd Avenue Pier Restaurant for lunch. I know that we are currently under a winter weather advisory, but the weather is supposed to be much nicer for the drive on Sunday. It may still be a little chilly to sit out on the deck for lunch, but the dining room offers some beautiful views of the beach. Details worked out, Zone Rep Jim Cambron will be our guest. After getting our fill of hanging out in the Mount Pleasant Town Center for Cars & Coffee (beginning at 9am), we will take a drive through the woods to The Barbeque Joint in North Charleston for lunch. Let's go see a bunch of rare Porsches in Raleigh! Join your Palmetto Region PCA friends for a weekend trip to Raleigh to visit the North Carolina Museum of Art to see the "Porsche by Design: Seducing Speed" exhibition and the Ingram Collection. RSVP is REQUIRED by December 11, 2013!!!!
The 2013 Holiday Party will be held on Friday, December 13th at 7 pm at the Ravenswood Plantation Party Barn (Johns Island off Chisolm Road). It will include a buffet dinner and holiday gift exchange.
The Hilton Head Concours D'Elegance and Speed Classic weekends are fast approaching.
The Speed Classic weekend at the Grand Prize of America Road Course on Hutchinson Island is the weekend of October 26th. The event features vintage pre war race cars all the way up to modern race cars fighting it out on the old Indy Light Grand Prix circuit.
