Who is interested in a trip to “tame” The Tail of the Dragon?

As has been discussed at meetings, on the web site, and in the recent newsletters, we are planning a trip to the Tail of the Dragon in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee. Well, a date and accommodations have been selected. By coincidence, another Porsche group, Pelican Parts, was planning a gathering for the same time frame and we have decided to make ours the same weekend, November 3, 4 and 5.
Pelican has made arrangements for a special rate at Fontana Village. If you mention the Pelican group there is an additional 15% reduction in an already attractive room rate. Rooms are very reasonably priced with a variety of room types from double rooms to 3 bedroom cabins. If you choose another of the wonderful areas to stay there will be a calendar of scheduled events available. This is just after the peak season in our mountains and the weather should be cool and refreshing after everyone’s long hot summer. The Tail of the Dragon should be the highlight of the trip, but as most know there is plenty to do in this area.
