Palmetto 45th Anniversary Party – August 16th | Palmetto Region

Our 45th Anniversary Party will be on August 16th at the Sandcastle on Kiawah Island overlooking the ocean. We will be honoring Palmetto's past presidents and there will be a guest speaker for this year's event. There will also be an optional self-serve gimmick rally leading up to the social hour.

The party will begin with a social hour at 4pm followed by a buffet catered by Crave Charleston at 5pm. The cost of the event is $16 a person which includes your food and water/tea. You are welcome to bring your own beverages to the event. The currently proposed menu for the event is as follows:

Thai Chicken Satay with Thai Peanut Dipping Sauce

Brushetta with Ham, Pineapple and Blu Cheese

Tomato, Cucumber and Farmers Cheese Salad

Mojo Marinated Grilled Chicken with Summer Succotash

Pulled Pork

Carolina Red Rice

Local Butter Beans, Black Beans and Fire Roasted Corn Succotash

Fresh Summer Peach Cobbler

On the day of the event I will email out a list of rally questions and directions, you can start it at any time that day, or skip it if you like. We will of course have some sort of prize for the winner. You may also want to brush up on your Porsche trivia in case we need some tie breaker questions.

We are inviting all of our past Palmetto region presidents to the event dating back to 1969, and hope to have a few in attendance. There are also plans for a display of items from Palmetto's past and a photo display.

Dress for the event is dressy casual, ie: shorts/pants and polo shirt. Please check your email on Saturday morning for information on the rally, thanks..
