Who says there’s no such thing as a free lunch? Join your Palmetto PCA friends April 12th for a lovely drive through the ACE Basin. The drive will depart promptly at 9:11am from the South State Bank parking lot at Publix on Savannah Highway and proceed, mostly on two-lane back roads, to Bennett’s Point where we will be treated to a presentation on the life of a South Carolina shrimper by legendary South Carolina Shrimper Richard Baldwin of B & B Seafood. Learn what it’s like to live on the sea while you make a living off the bounty of the sea. Richard is still shrimping as he has for over 50 years and as his dad did for 50 years before him – from the same dock on the same creek.
After this special presentation we will depart, again on mostly two-lane back roads, from Bennett’s Point to Edisto Island for lunch at “Paraiso” which means “Paradise” in Spanish. This is a first-come-first-serve event exclusively for PCA Palmetto members and spouses that will be limited to a predetermined number of participants that will not be disclosed until it is reached, and there will be a cutoff date of April 1st as we need a headcount well in advance.
Sign up today to secure your spot. There is no charge for the drive or for the luncheon but there is a charge for cancellations to offset the cost of the event and food and beverage for lunch. The cancellation charge will be $50 per couple (or $35 per single), this will occur once the cut off date of April 1st occurs when the food & beverages are purchased. The event is for Porsches only and there will be no substitutes of cars or people. We know who you are so don’t even try. 🙂 The ACE Basin weather will be sunny and 72 degrees on April 12th so bring your sunglasses and enjoy the ride.
