The Coastal Empire Region PCA’s Driver’s Education event scheduled at Roebling Road Raceway on September 22nd and 23rd, 2012is now open for registration. Please consider attending both the DE and the Saturday night BBQ. This event is open to all makes and models, including convertibles with the proper roll bar protection. The only requirements are:

(1) drivers must be 18 to enter,
(2) your vehicle has to be safetychecked by a mechanic within two weeks of the event and
(3) drivers must wear helmets.

Whether you are interested in trying this type of event for the first time or are returning as an avid "track junkie," we have something for all skill levels. As a beginning student you will have classroom sessions and a full-time instructor in the car with you while on the track. This will greatly assist in understanding your skills and the
capabilities of your car. If you have been considering trying a Driver's Education Program for the first time but are concerned about purchasing a helmet and then not wanting to continue, we have something for you. The Coastal Empire Region has a limited number of helmets for you to wear at this event, free of charge. For those who are interested in staying close to the track, we have arranged a special rate($69 + tax) at the Hampton Inn & Suites Savannah Airport, 70 Stephen S. Green Drive, Savannah, GA 31408; phone: 912-966-1240. When making your reservation, please make sure you mention you are part of the Coastal Empire Region event. We will do Grid Tech and Registration on Friday at 5 pm until 6 pm at the track and then move Tech and Registration to our host hotel (Hampton Inn & Suites, Savannah Airport) at 6:30 p.m. where you can also enjoy pizza, beer and friendship. Grid Tech and Registration continues from 7 to 7:45 AM Saturday morning at the track. To find more information relating to the track, please visit: www.roeblingroad.com

For Students in the Green run group, we will have one passing zone. For participants in the Blue, White and Black run groups, we will have 3 passing zones.For participants in the Red run group, we will have extended passing. No matter what your run group, all passing is done with a point by. Please register early to confirm your attendance!

Our new pricing structure is: PCA Instructors: $80, Driver Participants: $225, Saturday Barbeque Dinner: $15, Free T shirt or equivalent for all driving participants
