Greetings from the Coastal Empire Region!

I know several of our members are looking forward to joining you guys for this trip- and I would like to go as well, however I'm afraid that my 8-month "with child" (apparently your forum censors the preg - word) wife will not be coming.

I would love to tag along, however, if I could find a co-driver. Any "drivers without a partner" (your forum censors s-i-n-g-l-e-s) out there want to codrive / split a room with me? I don't snore, and can offer a '79 911 Targa (NO AC) or Lotus 7 Clone (No TOP) for transportation... or opening to co-drive for someone else!

Josh,

The Myrtle Beach group will have about 10 people attending. Hope to see you guys there. I have signed up for a bunch of activities --- when would your drive to the Biltmore take place?????

Maybe we could drive up there for a tour from our area a little later in the year or first part of next year --- as a group.

Look forward to seeing all the Charleston group in Charlotte.

I thought I would start a thread here for anyone who wants to discuss there plans for the Parade. I know I am going and will be arriving on Sunday. There is some talk about doing a drive to the Biltmore and Tour outside of the PCA one, if anyone is interested.

Hope to see all you guys and ladies at our drive to Wrightsville Beach and back across the ferry --- the kids will love the boat ride. We drive down the beach road. Lola and I did this drive a few months ago and it is very scenic. Plus you get to be with agreat bunch of Porsche people.

Not a problem as long as he doesn't mind driving in the Porsche.. Which I'm sure is not an issue.

I too live in the Myrtle Beach area and I am registered with the Hurricane Region. That is mostly because before I knew about the MB group, it was easier to make it to the Hurricane meetings on Saturday mornings in Wilmington. I try to keep an eye on both calendars and participate in both regions whenever I can. Being stuck in the middle can be a good thing. I hope to see you for the drive this weekend.

hi..esilvestri..we welcome you to join us this coming sunday for our drive.most of the myrtle beach group are pca members under the palmetto region,but few are hurrican.it make more sense to be under the palmetto region.we hope to see you then.thanks

That was us, the picture of the 968 was actually me.. A lot of the Myrtle Beach and surrounding crowd has switched their primary region to Palmetto, which can be easily done by calling PCA National (703) 321-2111. You are more then welcome to participate in multiple regions, it's encouraged. Hopefully you can make it to this drive, or just come out and meet everyone before they head off on the drive.

Hello,

I am a Myrtle Beach resident and recent Porsche owner whom has joined the PCA. I have seen the Myrtle Beach club gain some publicity in the Carolina Forest Chronicle. Is this club members of the PCA and in what region. I joined the Hurricane region, but it seems like the Palmetto region makes more sense from a proximatey stand point. Are we able to participate in both??

the myrtle beach group will meet at 11 a.m. on june 8th for our monthly drive/lunch.we would like you to join us .first we will meet at piggly wiggly parking lot at carolina forest off hwy 501.we will leave 11:30 am sharp to wrightsville beach to have lunch with pca members from willmington then afterward will get on the ferry down to southport then we head home from there.it should be a nice drive so come enjoy the summer with us.

We will be doing this rally a little different this time, I am including the rally route and questions ahead time. This way you can start the rally anytime you like on Saturday you just need to be at the Restaurant by 5pm. We will also be gathering at the Citadel Mall Sears parking lot which is the starting point of the rally at 2:30pm with cars leaving between 3 and 3:30pm.

You do not need to run the rally to participate, you are more then welcome to go directly to the restaurant (The Blarney Stone) in Walterboro. We just ask that you be there by 5pm. The local Walterboro car club will also be at the restaurant and there will be a small car show afterwards.

The route I have chosen takes you thru some nice country roads that are both scenic and Porsche experience friendly. As this is out in the country some signs may be hard to read or slightly hidden, so your map reading skills will be tested. You will want to watch the distance between directions on some of the turns. Along the route you will also need to keep an eye out for answers to the below questions, I would recommend a passenger for this. Also keep in mind some of the answers were designed for you to pull to the side to stretch your legs while you get the answer... All questions will be tallied at the end of the rally and count towards your competitor of the year points and of course bragging rights for the day.
