On Saturday August 8th will be hosting a tour of the Cummins Turbo Plant, a drive to the Carolina Youth Development Center, tour of the CYDC Motorsports garage, lunch with the kids, and an informal car show for the kids.
The event starts off with a tour of the Cummins Turbo Plant in N. Charleston (Please no open toe shoes). From there we depart for a drive thru the backroads to the Charleston Youth Development Center for lunch with the kids, tour of the CYDC Motorsports garage and an informal car show for the kids. We are also trying to provide some school supplies for the kids and are asking if you can bring along a bag of supplies for them, below is a list of items that that the kids are in need of. The cost of the event is $15 which includes your BBQ lunch, we just ask that you register below so we have a count for the lunch.
Tentative Schedule:
· 10:30 to 11:30 – Meet at Cummins Turbo Plant @ 9051 Palmetto Commerce Pkwy (Plant Tour)
· 11:30 to 12:30 – Head out and drive to CYDC
· 12:30 – Arrive at CYDC
· 12:30 to 2:30 – Eat with kids, Car Show and Tour of CYDC Motorsports
· @ 2:30 – Announce People’s Choice Award (Best Paint Job, Coolest Car, Best Interior, Best Classic, Etc)

- Copy Paper (Each Elementary and Middle School child is asked to bring one ream of copy paper)
- Composition Journal Style Notebooks
- 3 and 5 subject notebooks
- Sharpies
- Erasers
- Folders
- Markers
- Paper protectors
- Pencil/pen holders
- Flash Drives
- Walmart gift cards for back to school clothing/shoes for the kids
- Or if you just want to write a check to the Charleston Youth Development Center that is also fine...
